The majority of bottled beers are far-removed from traditional ale, having been filtered, pasteurised and artificially 'gassed-up'. At Frog Island Brewery, our hand-crafted ales undergo a gentle bottling process that allow them to continue fermenting and maturing inside the bottle. This ensures the character of the ale is preserved and complemented by the subtle carbonation produced by the bottle-conditioning process, and you get to enjoy the beer world's equivalent of champagne.
As there is nothing artificial about any of our bottled real ales, they all qualify for the 'Real Ale in a Bottle' accreditation scheme introduced by the Campaign for Real Ale and are also suitable for vegetarians.
